JUBILEE is sold

Burgess Yachts

JUBILEE was delivered by Oceanco in 2017, at which point she was the largest yacht ever built in The Netherlands. Her flowing trompe l’oeil exterior, sculpted by Igor Lobanov, was acclaimed by Oceanco as a ‘visual and technological tour de force’ at the time of her launch. Wrapped inside JUBILEE’s intriguing curves are interiors by Sam Sorgiovanni, with structural engineering and systems design by Azure Naval Architects of The Netherlands.

This six-deck, 4,523 GT superyacht was built to the Passenger Yacht Code, enabling her to welcome up to 31 guests across 16 cabins with a total of 39 crew to look after them.

‘I am absolutely thrilled that we have navigated this deal safely into port, it’s just the most wonderful news,’ said Burgess CEO Jonathan Beckett. ‘I’m especially pleased for Rupert (Nelson), who has been at the helm throughout, for the Burgess brokerage and marketing teams who so ably supported him, for the Burgess management team who continue to keep her in as-new condition, and also for Burgess Technical Services, who played such a pivotal role in the build of this genuinely extraordinary yacht. All in all, it’s a tremendous advert for the expertise, experience, intelligence and creativity of our operation,’

Burgess Technical Services provided technical project management throughout, from the earliest design stages right through to delivery. The fact that JUBILEE needed to be delivered as a turnkey project in sailaway condition, supplied with everything from tenders to towels, added to the challenge.

This landmark sale caps a record-breaking 2018 for the Burgess brokerage team:

  • Over 1.4km total length

  • Over USD 1 billion in brokerage sales
