We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Burgess as worldwide central agent for the sale of MARY A, with an asking price of USD 18,400,000.
The 47.1m (154.5ft) yacht MARY A (ex-NORTHERN LIGHT) was built by Feadship, Royal Van Lent, with naval architecture and exterior designs by De Voogt and interiors by John Munford’s Hampshire-based Spindrift Studio. She was delivered in 2001 and underwent comprehensive refits in 2005 and 2013 and she presents today in excellent condition throughout.
On the sun deck, a large jacuzzi is surrounded by sun pads, with wraparound glass screens to shelter guests from breeze. A sit-up bar is fully equipped, there is a versatile area aft for gym equipment, yoga, entertaining or sun lounging and she has two arcs of lounge seating aft.
Steps lead down to the aft bridge deck where there is a large space with al fresco dining for eight and two more arcs of lounge seating aft, and it is another space with clear potential for entertainment. Sliding doors open into the sky lounge with fully equipped, marble-topped bar, where Munford’s warm, traditional style of rich mahogany panelling is instantly relaxing. Picture windows provide abundant natural light and excellent views and there is a day head off the main stairwell forward.
A formal dining room on the main deck seats 10 guests comfortably and a display case separates the space from the intimate lounge aft, again with excellent natural light and fine views. Sliding doors lead out onto the main deck aft where her tenders are stowed underway, and the space has further potential for relaxing and entertainment once at anchor. Steps lead down to an extended swim platform.
The full-beam owner’s suite, forward on the main deck, has large picture windows, a private lounge area, his and hers bathroom with bath, office and a walk-in wardrobe. On the lower deck, two double cabins and two twin cabins, with four pullman berths, complete versatile accommodation for up to 14 guests in five cabins. A crew of up to 10 looks after their every need.
Twin 1,014hp Caterpillar engines give her a top speed of 14kn, a cruising speed of 13kn and a maximum range of 4,500nm gives her transatlantic capability. Zero speed stabilisers ensure comfort at anchor on arrival.
