ARETE is a 44m (144ft) displacement motor yacht with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure built to Lloyd's classification. With engineering by Vripack and design inside and out by the multi award winning studio of Pieter Beeldsnijder, she was delivered in 2014 by renowned Dutch shipyard Bloemsma & Van Breeman.
The top deck observation lounge
Her top deck crow's nest has an intimate lounge area where guests can enjoy privacy and excellent views.
Sun deck with jacuzzi, open air dining, bar and sun lounges fore and aft
Steps to starboard lead down to a sun deck with sun loungers forward, open air dining and a bar beneath the hardtop, the forward part of which has fanned skylights, a partially shaded jacuzzi to starboard and a huge sunpad aft.
Upper deck aft, the owner's private terrace
The owner's deck aft has a semi-circular private lounge area forward. The rest of the deck serves as a boat deck underway with horizontal davits to launch the 5.5m (18ft) RIB tender and toys at anchor, after which this becomes a large and versatile space, partially shaded by the overhang, for the owner's private use. Walk around side decks also lead to a second private terrace forward.
Open air dining on the spacious main deck aft
There is another open air dining option on the main deck aft, with steps either side leading down to the swim platform, and walkaround decks provide access to a foredeck lounge seating.
Owner's suite with access to a private terrace forward
A beam of 9.2m (30.3ft) gives her an internal volume of 480GT. The upper deck - the owner's deck - has wraparound views in the bedroom suite, vanity table, walk in wardrobe in the marble en suite, owner's office and direct access to the terrace forward.
The sky lounge in use as the owner's private office and gym
Moving aft, the stairwell has natural light from a skylight in the sun deck and a dayhead off the lobby. Aft is a versatile space currently used as an office and gym with large picture windows but could equally serve as a sky lounge.
Excellent natural light in the main saloon
The main saloon also has large picture windows, naturally lighting the contemporary styling. There is C shaped seating port aft, a sit-up bar to starboard and a formal dining area forward.
One of four lower deck guest suites
In addition to the owner's double suite, there are two queen sized cabins and two twin cabins, each with a pullman berth, on the lower deck, completing accommodation for 12 guests in five suites. She also sleeps up to nine crew in five cabins.
She has transatlantic range
Twin 1,115hp Caterpillar diesel engines give her a top speed of 15.5 knots, a cruising speed of 14 knots and a transatlantic range of 5,250nm at her economical speed of 12.5 knots. Naiad zero speed stabilisers provide comfort at anchor.
