BLOOMS is a 33.5m (109.8ft) Mangusta 108 performance yacht constructed in composite to Bureau Veritas classification and MCA standards, and delivered by Overmarine in 2006. Her exteriors are by the legendary Italian studio Stefano Righini and she has interiors by the yard’s in-house team. She was most recently refitted in 2017.
High speed and shallow draft, she's made for port- and island-hopping
Twin 2,774hp MTU diesel engines give her an exhilarating top speed of 32 knots and she cruises at 28 knots. Those speeds combined with a draft of 1.9m (6.2ft) make her perfect for exploring archipelagos like the Balearics, Croatia and Greece.
She has two large sunpads: one on the forward coachroof and another that covers the jacuzzi aft of the dining table shaded by an awning
The speed expands her cruising range for any given time period and shallow draft opens up anchorages off-limits to yachts with deeper draft. The zero speed stabilisers fitted in 2021 ensure comfort at anchor.
The jacuzzi has a bench seat aft and open-air dining forward
There is a large jacuzzi on the main deck aft, which can be covered underway to create a large sunpad. Forward of that there is open-air dining with optional shade from a retractable awning and sofa seating either side of the entrance to the main saloon.
The formal dining area is between the saloon and the bridge
Steps aft lead down to the swim platform and garage for her Avon 430 jet tender, two waverunners and two waverunners and other toys stow behind lower deck shell doors. Walkaround sidedecks lead to a foredeck sunpad with a clamshell awning.
The saloon with the TV popped up and the roof retracted to let the outside in
Her main saloon has sofas and armchairs and a large TV pops out of the cabinet that divides the saloon from the dining area forward, between the cabinet and the bridge. The roof is also retractable at the push of a button, turning the inside space into outside space with sunlight and fresh air.
The relaxation room in wide-screen cinema mode
The lower deck has a dual purpose room that has a corner sofa where guests can relax. A large drop-down screen turns the space into a cinema room and there is a bathroom with shower.
The full-beam owner's suite on the lower deck
She welcomes six guests in three cabins and can potentially accommodate two children in the convertible cinema room. The owner’s suite is midships and full beam with the aft-facing double berth to port and a treadmill to starboard. The en suite has his-and-hers basins and a large shower room and has plenty of wardrobe space.
One of two VIP suites on the lower deck
Two VIP double cabins also have abundant wardrobe space and en suites with large shower rooms. She also sleeps up to seven crew.
