Following a difficult period, our sales brokers have been transacting frantically, selling large yachts and adding new yachts to our rich and varied sales fleet, as Richard Lambert explains
'It's been a refreshing couple of months for us,' says Head of Sales Richard Lambert. 'After the enforced calm of COVID, we're now in an invigorating storm of brokerage activity, including an open day for brokers in Monaco last Thursday, slightly modified naturally, for virus safety.
Sold: 68m Nobiskrug TRIPLE SEVEN
'We've sold six yachts, all between 40m (196.9ft) and 100m (328.1ft), consolidating our global position as the large yacht specialist,' adds Richard. 'Three are confidential sales but we can talk about the sale of the 73m (239.5ft) Feadship HASNA, a yacht we sold to the owner in 2014, built, managed for charter then sold again. That was closely followed by the 40.8m (133.7ft) Bloemsma Van Breemen performance sloop VALQUEST, insured by Burgess since 2014. Both of these yachts changed hands at the start of August.
'Just this week we sold TRIPLE SEVEN, the 68m (223.1ft) Nobiskrug that we have managed for charter since 2013. We've also just closed the sale of a 60m berth in Marina Genova Aeroporto to an owner looking for a permanent base with great facilities in the Med. It's so good to be busy again!’
To replenish the sales fleet brokers have signed up four quality new yachts in the last month.
