With comfortable temperatures well into October and fewer yachts cruising at this time of year, waters are less crowded so you could have an entire anchorage to yourself.

Sifnos is great for foodies, Santorini for stunning scenery, Naxos for nature, Ios for sugar-cube villages and beaches, Delos is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a wealth of ancient monuments and mosaics, the list goes on.
Starting from Yalikavak Marina, Turkey's south west coast is tailor made for a hideaway holiday as Bodrum and Datca peninsulas are peppered with secret coves and secluded, sheltered bays. In Kekova you can dive a Lycian city that slipped beneath the waves nearly two centuries ago. Patara is home to fascinating ancient architectural ruins and a 17km (11 mile) beach that never gets crowded. Drop anchor in Domuzbuku, which is inaccessible by road, to explore the underwater world by snorkel and enjoy a BBQ ashore on the deserted beach.
