UPDATE
10 October 2019: Following a comprehensive inspection by Feadship, MOON SAND has been awarded a Certificate of Authenticity showing her to be in excellent condition for her age, both aesthetically and technically.
On that basis, Feadship is offering a one-year post-resale warranty to facilitate the sale of MOON SAND. This is a superb opportunity for a new owner to buy this yacht with complete confidence.
The immaculate MOON SAND
MOON SAND is a 44.2m (145ft) yacht meticulously built by Dutch masters Feadship and delivered in 2015. Feadship's own De Voogt team sculpted the exterior and the renowned British studio Bannenberg & Rowell designed her interior, confirming her impeccable northern European credentials.
For a 44.2m yacht with a gross tonnage of 499 tonnes she has the outside spaces of a yacht 10m longer, and the emphasis is on versatility.
The main deck aft...
The choicest example of this is the spacious main deck aft.
...becomes a contraflow swimming pool
At the push of a button, a large section of the deck forward of the lounge area lowers and a few minutes later there is a main deck aft pool with contraflow jets - quite the party piece.
She has an unusually spacious sun deck
A huge sun deck has an observation lounge forward of a lounge area well suited to informal dining, and removable awnings offer shade. Aft is a sunbathing area and stowage for the 6.2m tender while underway.
Steps to starboard lead down to a large bridge deck aft, with a lounge area aft beneath removable awnings and dining for 10 protected by screens either side.
The sky lounge has huge picture windows
Sliding doors open into a sky lounge with fully equipped bar and gaming table to starboard and a lounge area and bureau to port. There's also a dedicated gym forward. The space is gloriously light with panoramic vistas through large mullion-free picture windows, a delightful characteristic throughout the yacht.
The full-beam master suite
A stairwell leads down to the formal dining area for 10 guests on the main deck, aft of which is a main saloon with an arc of seating to port and a gaming table to starboard. Forward on the main deck is the full-beam owner's suite, with private office, his and hers bathrooms - his with a shower, hers with a bath - two dressing rooms, a vanity table to port, seating to starboard and wonderful views through picture windows.
On the lower deck is a VIP suite and two further double cabins, one of which is convertible to a twin cabin, completing versatile accommodation for up to eight guests, be they family or friends. There is separate accommodation for up to nine crew.
MOON SAND glows with natural light
A 'no-compromise' attitude to the fit-out of her contemporary interior is reflected in a custom AV system, bespoke cabinetry by houses like Linley and Silverlining, and sumptuous carpeting throughout. She is in 'as-new' condition.
A dedicated gym
MOON SAND has only ever been lightly used by her owner so her twin 1,200hp Caterpillar diesel engines have low hours logged and been subject to a rigorous maintenance schedule. She has a maximum speed of 14.5kn and an ocean-crossing range of 3,600nm at her long-range cruising speed of 10kn.
