SPIIP is a 34.1m (112ft) award-winning masthead-rigged performance sloop delivered in 2000 by the revered Dutch shipyard Royal Huisman with hull and exterior design by Germán Frers and interiors by Winch Design in collaboration with Oliver Sterling. Her hull and systems are commercial craft ABS-classified.
She has been scrupulously maintained and upgraded
She has been meticulously maintained by her owner and this year's EUR 1,200,000 refit included a five-year rig service, updates to her navigational systems and the addition of a furling staysail. In 2018 Rondal serviced her four captive winches, all lighting was upgraded to LED and her side-boarding ladder and passerelle, both hydraulic, were also serviced. Her 2017 works saw new teak decks and an engine and generator rebuild. She received a full repaint of hull, superstructure, mast and boom in 2016, during which her Marten Spars carbon mast, Southern Spars in-mast furling boom and ECsix carbon rigging were all serviced.
SPIIP has proven her pace in several regatta wins
Delivered as UNFURLED, SPIIP won the Best Sailing Yacht in the 23-36m category at the International Superyacht Society Awards 2001. Since then, SPIIP has also enjoyed great success on the superyacht sailing circuit, winning both the Antigua Superyacht Challenge and the St Barth’s Bucket in 2017.
Family-friendly and line-free cockpit
A family-friendly guest cockpit forward of the twin helm stations is completely line-free for uninterrupted al fresco entertainment and a folding sprayhood and bimini allow the space to be sunny or shaded, as you wish. Aft of the helm stations and across her expansive foredeck there is plenty of sun lounging space, and a folding transom creates a swim platform while anchored.
Restful interiors with great natural light and views
Step through the companionway to starboard and you'll find exquisite light woods and natural fibres lit by light pouring through large picture windows. A dining area to port seats six in splendour and coffee can be taken in a lounge to starboard.
The full-beam owner's suite
Steps aft lead down to the full-beam owner's suite with adjoining bathroom and dressing room, and there is private access from the aft deck too. Two further convertible double or twin cabins, each with en suite facilities, complete accommodation for six guests and there are stand-alone Apple TV video and Sonos audio throughout. SPIIP also sleeps four crew.
