Monaco E-Prix

This all-electric championship follows the famous grand prix circuit when it arrives in Monaco but the racing is generally closer and more exciting with plenty of overtaking. There is a fan festival too supplying race-goers with entertainment, exhibitions and ideas for all.

Cannes Film Festival

16-27 May 

The South of France's leading celebration of film, held annually in May, has become a major cultural event and a feature in celebrities' social schedules. This year is the 76th edition and already the nominations are being registered. Cannes is bustling at any time of year, but these 12 days are off the scale, so book ahead.

The American Foundation for AIDS Research (amFAR) Cinema Against AIDS black-tie event is celebrated for its glittering guest list, its unpredictable live auction, and its unrivalled success in generating funds for amFAR’s lifesaving AIDS research programs. Since 1993, amFAR Cinema Against AIDS events have raised more than USD100 million. 

Monaco Grand Prix F1

25-29 May

With the onset of spring comes the most hotly anticipated event on the motorsport calendar, the Monaco Grand Prix. Arguably the world’s greatest yacht charter event, here is where the coveted trackside berths afford enviable frontline views, from the tight Tabac corner, across the starting grid and through to the first swimming pool chicane. Monaco is home to many of the drivers including Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, Antonio Giovinazzi and Daniel Ricciardo.

JUNE

Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta, Sardinia

7-11Jun

This annual regatta is hosted by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda on northeastern Sardinia, surrounded by the stunning La Maddalena archipelago. There are two classes: one for monohulled superyachts, another for multihulls, and the racing is very competitive. The wind is reliable and the pink granite bays that are this sailing ground stunning backdrop.

Superyacht Cup Palma, Mallorca

21-24 Jun

The Superyacht Cup Palma is the longest running superyacht regatta in Europe. Hosted at the Real Club Náutico de Palma at the end of June, the three-day sailing event is the ideal opportunity to feast your eyes on beautiful J Class yachts doing what they do best – racing. Renowned for its sailing season, Palma is spoilt for choice when it comes to superyacht marinas, though the Port of Palma has the best location.

Pair exquisite horses with nail-biting excitement at one of the Longines Global Champions Tour events. This showjumping tour brings together the world’s elite stables competing for prestige and prizes. Riders will be battling to secure their golden ticket all season for a coveted spot in the ultimate individual showdown, the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix at the GC Prague Playoffs. The tour takes horses, riders and specators to 16 key locations, including three in the Mediterranean where you can hop ashore to join the excitement.

JULY

Fiera di u Vinu, Corsica

1-2 Jul

Tucked away in Haute-Corse, a traditional wine growing region in northern Corsica, is the town of Luri. On the first weekend in July wine producers from all over the island assemble and invite the public to experience the huge variety of wines grown on the island, from aromatic whites, bone-dry rosés and full-bodied reds. As well as wine, guests can also explore local arts, crafts and artisanal produce and dishes.

AUGUST

Cote D'Azur Polo Cup, Saint-Tropez

2-12 Aug

Surrounded by the rolling hills of Gassin and the southern Var, yet just ten minutes from the centre of Saint-Tropez, the Saint-Tropez Polo Club plays host to a variety of events, including its own Polo Masters. The Cote D'Azur Polo Cup is ten days of matches that culminate in La Nuit Argentine, a magnificent party for riders and club members.Talk to your Burgess broker to secure your ticket.

Cannes Yachting Festival

12-17 Sep

Cannes Yachting Festival attracts 700 boats each year, which are divided between two iconic marinas; Vieux Port and Port Canto. This is an opportunity for you to explore the yachts on the market for sale and charter. It’s where the world’s leading shipbuilders come together to showcase latest launches and spotlight new innovations on the yachting circuit, set against a backdrop of the sun-drenched coast of the Côte d’Azur.

Monaco Yacht Show

27-30 Sep

Monaco Yacht Show delivers a thrilling experience for all. The waterside trade show caters to ultra-high-net-worth individuals drawn by the appeal of life at sea. So, whether you are new to yachting or a veteran, it’s the best place to learn about new ideas, toys and equipment. To get on board any of the yachts at the show you will need to make an appointment, so talk to your charter broker when you are making your booking and they can coordinate it for you.

Ryder Cup, Rome

In 2023, the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club will become Italy’s first ever Ryder Cup venue. Located just 17km from the heart of the Italian capital Rome, it’s ideally placed for a day trip by helicopter from Porto Cervo. Alternatively, make Rome’s historic port of Civitavecchia the next leg on your Italian charter itinerary for a convenient pairing.

OCTOBER

Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez

It’s the ideal opportunity to charter a classic sailing yacht and join the host of racers and regatta enthusiasts who hail from the corners of the globe to do battle. Started in 1999 by the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, which is celebrating its 160th anniversary this year, Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez brings together classic and modern yachts for 'the most beautiful regattas on the water and the best atmosphere on land'.

Bodrum Cup

15-22 Oct

The Bodrum Cup is one of the rare regattas in the world in which yachts can race with guests on board. Besides the excitement-filled races, participants come together in various fun events on both the water and land. Moor up at Turkey’s majestic Yalikavak Marina Bodrum, aptly placed for those who wish to attend the Cup before a week spent sailing Turkey’s romantic coastline.

Mallorca Classic Week

18-22 Oct

For classic car enthusiasts this is a bucketlist event, combining classic motoring with one of the most scenic islands in the Mediterranean. Enjoy twisting mountain roads on the island's northwest coast with panoramic views around every corner, then roll into Palma, one of Europe's most historic and cultured cities where Michelin stars abound and superyachts are standard.
