This head-turning high-tech trimaran as designed to discover, with the focus on efficiency, performance and stability. ADASTRA's painstaking construction by composite experts McConaghy means she weighs a mere 49 tonnes without water and fuel and this gives her single 1,136hp Caterpillar engine extraordinary powers. She has a top speed of 22 knots, a range of 10,000nm and a draft of just 1.2m (3.9ft), which allows her to cross oceans in her stride and slip into cays and lagoons off limits to deeper draft vessels. Another benefit of her design is supreme stability.
