Description
Q is a magnificent 51.8m (169.8ft) sailing yacht delivered by New Zealand's Alloy Yachts in 2008 as MONDANGO. Winner of the 2009 ShowBoats Design Award for Best Sailing Yacht over 45m, she was built for extensive bluewater cruising and presents an outstanding combination of excellent performance and sophistication.
With unrivalled quality of build by the renowned Alloy Yachts and a sleek Dubois designed exterior and Reymond Langton interior, the custom-built Q underwent refits in 2014 and 2016.
Her spacious cockpit has been designed with a spectacular system of fully retractable windows that offers guests uninterrupted views in a climate controlled area at the touch of a button. The open plan main saloon, which also offers 360 degree panoramic views, is a stylish and modern space with a subtle oriental twist. Below on the lower deck is accommodation for up to 12 guests in five luxurious suites, consisting of a full beam owner's suite, two double cabins and two twin cabins, each with a pullman berth.
Outside, Q has a flybridge with a comfortable seating and dining area and a large jacuzzi on the foredeck that is surrounded by sumptuous sun pads, ideal for entertaining and relaxing. The yacht also houses an armada of watertoys, from kayaks and waterskis to snorkelling gear and inflatables.
With top performance sails from North Sails, this all-oceans yacht has a maximum speed of 15 knots. Q's 1,200hp Caterpillar engine gives her a huge range of 3,500nm when cruising comfortably at 10 knots.
