Description

WELLENREITER is a 46-metre (151ft) blue water cruising sloop with a first-class pedigree. Designed by André Hoek and built in steel to Lloyds classification by the esteemed Jongert shipyard, she was delivered in 2003, is still in her original ownership and has never been chartered. She completed her 15 year Lloyds survey in 2018, when she had a complete repaint, new teak decks were fitted and her rig was pulled for a full service and upgrade. She is MCA compliant.

Her deck plan includes a secure and comfortable passenger cockpit with plush seats, twin tables and high coamings, twin helms in pods just behind the passenger cockpit and slightly raised, a flush aft deck with a bench seat on the stern, a tender well in front of the mast and a large expanse of flush foredeck.

With 254 GT of internal volume, she is designed to host up to eight guests on board in four cabins. Her interior is classic in style and finished to a very high standard. The main interior space on board is a mezzanine deckhouse with upper and lower saloons. The upper saloon is the pilothouse with the primary helm and nav station forward, a dinette to port and seats to starboard. The lower saloon has a comfortable lounge with armchairs and built-in sofas to port and a large dining table to starboard.

The master suite is aft on the lower deck with a forward-facing king size bed on the centreline, sofas on both sides and a full-width bathroom en suite. The other guest cabins are a VIP double and two twins, all with private en suite bathrooms.

She is cutter rigged with a well-balanced sailplan and sets almost 1,200 square metres of sail on a 53-metre light alloy mast with an elliptical section and five pairs of spreaders. The mast and the 18-metre carbon fibre furling boom for her mainsail were both built by Nirvana Spars. Her sails are carbon/Vectran, made by Elvstrøm. The genoa and staysail (both new in 2018) are on Reckmann hydraulic furlers and she has seven Hydromar below-deck captive winches to handle the sheets and halyards, plus two hydraulic winches and four manual winches on deck. Her steering is also hydraulic.

Under power, her 670hp MTU 8V 2000 M70 diesel engine gives a cruising speed of 10kts and a top speed of about 12kts. She carries two tenders: a five-metre (16ft) RIB with a 115hp inboard diesel engine in a stern garage, and a 3.5m (11.5ft) RIB with a 13hp outboard on deck.
