Burgess is pleased to announce that LIGHEA is for sale with an asking price of EUR 6,950,000 (EU VAT paid).
LIGHEA is a 43m (140.9ft) yacht built to Lloyd’s classification by the FIPA Italiana shipyard to an exterior design by the yard itself, an interior design by Roberto del Re and naval architecture by Giuseppe Sole. Delivered in 2005, she was the first of FIPA’s Maiora range to launch with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, her predecessors all being of composite construction.
She has been used only privately by her original owner and has been maintained annually to the highest standards and without regard for cost. Her most recent refit in 2015 involved a full repaint and the installation of zero speed stabilisers.
A good-sized sun deck features a jacuzzi with privacy glass screens flanked by a crescent of sun pads. Aft of that is a space for sun loungers and a seated lounge area shaded by an awning. From here steps spiral down to a large and shaded al fresco lounge and dining area with bar on the aft bridge deck. Sliding glass screens lead forward into an impressive formal dining area with olive wood parquet flooring, mahogany with cream panels and feature lighting. A Portuguese bridge on the forward bridge deck provides a more intimate social space and another al fresco dining option.
The main saloon, which continues the restful parquet, mahogany and cream theme, creates a spacious yet convivial area with sofas on three sides, facing aft, excellent views through picture windows and a smaller but no less impressive family dining space forward. On the aft main deck is a versatile al fresco space, usually used as a lounge area but large enough to offer considerable entertainment potential. Steps lead down to a swim platform with hydraulic bathing steps and the transom lifts to reveal a large tender garage.
She welcomes up to 12 guests across five cabins. The full-beam owner’s suite is forward on the main deck with walk-in wardrobe, a separate office area and an impressive bathroom in gold-veined black marble, with bath, shower and his and hers sinks. On the lower deck, two twin cabins, each with a pullman berth, and two double cabins complete her adaptable en suite accommodation.
Twin 1,300hp Caterpillar engines give her a maximum speed of 14.5kn, and a 4,000nm range at 11.5kn enables transatlantic passages. The annual servicing of engines and generators has always been carried out by official Caterpillar service agents.
Lying in Monaco for inspection, LIGHEA is in exceptional condition and represents excellent value in today’s market. Burgess welcomes all expressions of interest.
