The high-flying 58.5m (192ft) Perini Navi ketch SEAHAWK took the superyacht awards by storm following her delivery in 2013 by this respected Italian yard. With naval architecture and exteriors by the yard with renowned designer Ron Holland, and interiors by celebrated Christian Liaigre Design, this Perini Navi ketch won the Holistic Award at the Show Boats Design Awards 2014 and was a finalist in no fewer than three Best Sailing Yacht categories in the same year.
At 491GT, she's built in aluminium with a carbon rudder, aluminium in-mast furling main and mizzen masts with carbon booms, and red-sheathed carbon rigging adds unmistakable flair to this remarkable yacht. Equally at home on a leisurely cruise or a Bucket regatta, SEAHAWK offers her next owner a compelling package.
The line-free sun deck has a 'third cockpit' sun lounge, aft of the fly bridge, shaded by a bimini awning for informal al fresco lunches, a more relaxed lounge area around the mizzen mast aft of that for sun downers and large sun pads aft. Steps lead down to the main deck cockpit with a covered al fresco dining area aft that seats 12, and a small lounge and bar forward and a TV to starboard for movie nights.
Outside the cockpit walk aft onto a wide-open aft deck with sun loungers, down the steps of the folding transom, onto the swim platform and into the water. Sidedecks lead forward to a Portuguese bridge where you can enjoy the last of the cooling breeze on a warm Caribbean night. Forward is a huge teak foredeck, beneath which are stowed the tender and watertoys and on which there is a versatile space for entertaining, relaxing or games.
From the main deck cockpit sliding doors open into the main saloon, where Liaigre's talents are showcased to great effect. Silver-lacquered coachroof beams frame sycamore, rosewood and satin walnut cabinetry of the highest order. Together with claret and cream panels it creates a modern, warm, welcoming environment, yet bright with large picture windows throughout.
There is a lounge area inside the doors, a larger space with sofas to starboard and a more intimate space to port. Forward to port is a formal dining area for 12 while to starboard there is an open-plan snug with a correspondence desk and sofa.
Steps lead down to the versatile guest accommodation, comprising of a full-beam owner's cabin that is convertible into a VIP cabin and a double cabin, and a further four double cabins complete accommodation for 10-12 guests in five or six cabins. The theme of contemporary warmth introduced on the main deck interiors is continued in these stylish spaces.
