AVANT GARDE 2 is a 42.6m (139.8ft) yacht delivered in 2010 by CRN to exterior and interior designs by Rome-based Zuccon International Project. An extensive refit in 2016 saw the installation of a brand-new contemporary interior by rising design star Laura Pomponi's Ancona studio, which leaves her completely refreshed.
A large sun deck features a jacuzzi forward flanked by sun pads, twin seating areas port and starboard shaded by awnings, a fully-equipped sit-up bar, BBQ, rain shower and a day head. Further aft is a large circular sun pad with seating forward and storage aft and further space for sun loungers.
Steps to starboard lead down to the bridge deck where there is a large crescent of seating aft, storage to port and a large al fresco dining table sits at the centre of a large, versatile space for relaxing or entertaining. Moving inside, there is a sky lounge with cream, gold and blue fabrics bathed in natural light and two seating areas, a lounge to starboard with a 55in wall-mounted TV and a games table to port.
Moving down into the main salon there is a formal dining room with seating for 12 then two lounges with olive, lemon yellow and orange fabrics mirror each other, creating a large social area or a great place to watch TV. Aft of that, through sliding glass doors, is another versatile space with sun pad seating aft and a cosy lounge area.
Steps to starboard lead down to a swim platform with hydraulic bathing ladder and a beach area with a fully-equipped gym. Forward of that is the tender garage for the Castoldi Jet 21.
Forward from the main deck lobby is the full-beam master suite with a vanity table to port, a large day bed to starboard and his and hers bathrooms in white marble, with two separate showers forward of that, and a walk-in wardrobe. The owner's suite also has a 55in TV.
Stairs lead down to a guest lobby where two VIP cabins, a further double cabin and a twin cabin, will pullman bunk, complete accommodation for up to 11. Guests are attended by up to nine crew in five cabins.
Twin 1,400hp Caterpillar diesel engines give her a top speed of 16 knots, a cruising speed of 13 knots and a range of 3,000nm at 12 knots. Naiad zero speed stabilisers ensure comfort at anchor on arrival.
