Burgess consolidates its position as the No.1 superyacht specialist, bringing almost a kilometre of yachts to the 2018 show.
As the world’s most anticipated and glamorous superyacht show, Monaco Yacht Show 2018 didn’t disappoint. Organisers expected over 30,000 visitors and 590 exhibitors, bringing 121 superyachts, 14 of which were new builds, worth an estimated EUR 3 billion. As the market leader, Burgess was responsible for bringing many of the largest and most impressive superyachts to the show.
“We brought over 800m, nearly a kilometre’s worth of yachts, worth over EUR 500 million to the show,” said Burgess’ Head of sales Richard Lambert, emphasising the scale of Burgess’ attendance.
Director and Sales Broker Tim Wiltshire revealed some remarkable statistics gleaned from the Fitbits worn by Burgess brokers. “While escorting clients over the course of the show, our brokers collectively walked the distance from London to Monaco and climbed the height of Mont Blanc on the way!”
“It was a great show,” he continued, “a fantastic vibe, better control of low value trade traffic. There were some great customers that absolutely love their yachting and it was an enormous pleasure to see them all. It’s a great yachting experience.’
Monaco Yacht Show 2019 will run from 25-28 September.
