A 47-metre (153ft) full custom yacht from Cantieri di Pisa, BALISTA offers the unusual combination of fast planing performance with full size tri-deck accommodation. Delivered by the Tuscan shipyard in 2013, she is built in fibreglass throughout with teak laid decks. An extensive interior refurbishment and major mechanical refit works were completed in 2019.

The sundeck is a large, sociable space with U-shaped seating under umbrellas and a bar forward, the jacuzzi amidships and sunpads aft. There’s also a separate sunbathing zone in a Portuguese bridge on her forward coachroof with an inset walkway leading to the foredeck. The upper aft deck is the main outdoor dining area with a 12-seat table in full shade and built-in seating aft. The main deck aft cockpit, meanwhile, is another outdoor lounge with a table for informal dining.

With 467GT of internal volume arranged on three main levels and designed to host up to 14 overnight guests in seven cabins, ample living space is one of her strong suits. The interior was originally designed by Mark Berryman and subsequently updated by Curtis House with Louis Anthony and Associates. The contemporary-classic décor is a showcase of Italian woodwork with leather trim and marble bathrooms.

The main deck saloon is open plan with a bar and lounge aft and 12-seat formal dining table forward. One level up, a stand-out feature of the skylounge is its pair of balconies, which fold out on both sides.

Up forward on the main deck, the full-beam master suite has his-and-hers en suite bathrooms, a sofa and vanity desk, a walk-in closet and a separate office. The other guest cabins are all located amidships on the lower deck including a VIP suite with a lounge, which converts into two mirror-image doubles, plus two further doubles and two twins, all with private en suite bathrooms.

She has garages for a tender and jet skis in her stern.

Powered by twin MTU 16V 4000 M93L diesels with a combined output of 9,340hp, she has a top speed of around 26kts and cruises at 22kts. She has twin-fin Trac zero speed stabilisers, which were rebuilt (as were here generators) in 2019.
