Antigua Charter Yacht Show: what’s new in the superyacht charter market

As accredited professionals and members of MYBA (the leading, worldwide yacht brokers’ association), the Burgess charter team looks forward to inspecting the 100 or so yachts showcased in Antigua this December.

It’s a chance for us to evaluate the most recent launches and upgraded vessels available in the superyacht charter market. We’ll spend time getting to know the Captain and crew, assessing the style of the yacht and the atmosphere on board,  as well as checking the quality of the furnishings and design of each yacht so that we can continue to advise you on what is best for your needs from first-hand experience.

This year, Burgess is proud to present 18 of the superyachts in the show from our fleet, including the stunning 66m (216ft) Delta marine INVICTUS, the ‘eco-friendly’ 39m (130ft) Newcastle Marine SAFIRA and the recently refitted 68.5m (225ft) Amels LADY S.

It’s an intensive week for all with a number of side-events included such as the Chef’s Competition (where chefs from yachts in different size categories compete to impress a panel of industry professionals with their interpretation on a set theme), cruising destination presentations, and a chance to showcase the originality and organisational skills of the crew, the chef’s culinary capabilities and what the yachts can offer in ‘event mode’.

So, if you are interested in chartering and you have particular requirements in mind for your next charter, then please get in touch with your Burgess charter broker who will be happy to send you a first-hand report.
