For Sale: Super-Sailers for Super-Sailors

As the regatta circuit for superyachts has grown and matured over recent years, so has the competition between avid racing yacht owners. So for sailing fanatics, a brokerage opportunity that offers the comfort of a luxury superyacht and the real potential for taking line honours is a rare find.

An exceptional opportunity has presented itself for buyers to consider not one but two of the most highly acclaimed and awarded sailing superyachts in the world: SALPERTON and TWIZZLE were each built by meticulous and experienced owners with performance and comfort in mind, equally at home anchored in the bays of the Italian Riviera as crossing the finishing line in St Barths.

Dubois-designed performance sloop SALPERTON is new to the market for the first time since she was delivered to her owner by Fitzroy Yachts in 2009. The 45.0m (147.7ft) sloop’s light and airy Adam Lay interior offers contemporary living from a rich palate of earth tones complemented by oak flooring, granite and bronzed furnishings.

Although a high-performance cruiser resulting from the collaboration between an extremely knowledgeable owner, world-class designer and superb build team, she offers a multitude of comforts including a deck jacuzzi, spacious open air dining and accommodation for up to eight guests in four cabins.

A popular choice among charter clients, she is currently located in the Pacific and so offers the perfect excuse to get off the beaten path to exotic cruising grounds without the wait.

The universally admired 57.5m (188.6ft) Royal Huisman TWIZZLE is a multi-award-winning ketch boasting one of the most advanced sailing rigs ever created, and her mizzen mast – at 58m – is the tallest ever built.

With accommodation for up to 11 guests, and stunning interior by Redman Whiteley Dixon and Todhunter Earle, her expansive guest space typifies relaxed, modern cool.

Created with adventure in mind, her 62.5m carbon fibre Panamax main mast allows for transition through the Panama Canal, and with a draft of only 3.8m (12.5ft), she provides the freedom to explore many cruising grounds inaccessible to other large sailing yacht.

Having recently carried out an extensive refit – which included her five-year Lloyd’s class survey with haul-out, a full rig refit with new 3Di sails and a complete repaint – she offers an attractive choice for a buyer looking to avoid time and costs on maintenance in the early months of ownership.
