Burgess charter yachts win culinary contest 2018

Published 13 December 2018

Congratulations to the chefs of ETERNITY, GO and GALAXY on taking the top three spots in the Antigua cook-off.

Chef Peter Frost of the 65m ETERNITY was awarded first place in Boat International’s Culinary Contest 2018 in the 50m+ category at the Antigua Charter Yacht Show.

Chefs are given 30 minutes to prepare a meal, in this case a New Year’s Eve dinner party, for guests with a checklist of dietary requirements. ETERNITY also won the award for best tablescaping, making it a double victory for the Burgess charter yacht and her crew.

Second place went to chef Micail Swindells of the 77m Turquoise-built yacht GO and third place went to chef David Pearson of the 56m Benetti yacht GALAXY, completing a clean sweep of awards in the large yacht category for Burgess charter yachts.

Congratulations also to chef Philip Clarke of the 41m Alia-built RUYA on third place in the 38-49m category.

This is clear proof, if proof were needed, that if you’re into fine dining – and who isn’t – then you should charter with Burgess.
