DIAMOND is a 35-metre (116ft) high-performance sport yacht with a deep vee hull form, triple water jet propulsion and two main decks of accommodation. Designed and styled by Guido de Groot, constructed in kevlar composite to RINA classification and finished with a distinctive gold metallic paint job, she was built by AB Yachts and delivered in 2013.
Description
DIAMOND is a 35-metre (116ft) high-performance sport yacht with a deep vee hull form, triple water jet propulsion and two main decks of accommodation. Designed and styled by Guido de Groot, constructed in kevlar composite to RINA classification and finished with a distinctive gold metallic paint job, she was built by AB Yachts and delivered in 2013.
Exterior spaces include an open sundeck with seating/dining and sunbathing areas plus a fully equipped flybridge helm; a Portuguese bridge on the foredeck with built-in seats around a table and a large sunpad; full walk-around decks and a main deck aft cockpit with a bar under the sundeck overhang, a large teak dining table in the open air and sunpads astern.
Her total internal volume adds up to 218GT, configured to host up to guests on board in four or five cabins, with separate quarters for a crew of three. The main deck saloon is open plan with a dining area forward under an electric sunroof, a spacious lounge aft and teak boards underfoot. Up front, a decorative screen separates the raised, three-seat bridge from the saloon and steps lead down to the lower deck.
There’s another lounge area in the atrium on the lower deck. The owner’s cabin is full-beam and located amidships on the lower deck with a private lounge, a study area and a large marble bathroom en suite. She has three other guest cabins and a dedicated gym which converts with pullman berths into a fifth guest cabin.
The crew accommodation is in the bow on the lower deck, adjoining the galley and comprising a mess room plus three cabins with en suite WCs and showers.
She has an integrated bathing platform and a transom garage for her 5.2-metre (17ft) Williams jet tender, Yamaha Super Charger jet ski, dive gear and other watersports equipment.
Propelled by three 2,400hp MTU 16V 2000 M93 diesel engines (with 1,800 hours on each), driving MJP water jets, she has a a top speed of over 35 knots.
