Caroline brings more than 20 years of international events, high-profile hospitality and client-facing operational experience to her role as Monaco Charter Fleet Manager at Burgess. She became a Partner at the company in 2024.

Born in France and based in Monaco, Caroline is a natural and proficient linguist. She graduated from Vatel Hotel and Catering Management Institute in Lyon, the French capital of gastronomy, in 2002, and initially worked in London as an as events manager for international hotel chains, including Hilton and The Savoy Hotel. Caroline later spent four years in marketing roles at The Leading Hotels of the World in both London and Paris.

Caroline joined the Burgess charter management team in Monaco in 2011 as a charter assistant within OceanStyle, the company’s sub 50m branch, before quickly progressing to charter manager for the Burgess fleet a year later. In 2022, she was made charter fleet manager, looking after Burgess’ large elite listings, including the series of CLOUD 9, as well as managing a team of 12 based in Monaco. Caroline also plays a central role within Burgess’ charter management team worldwide.

‘I worked in luxury hospitality management for over 10 years prior to joining Burgess,’ she says. ‘The hotel industry demands a high level of attention to detail while attending to clients’ high expectations across multiple hotel portfolios. There are many similarities between hospitality and yachting, and that really appealed.’

Caroline’s strengths lie in diplomacy and flexibility, guiding and advising clients on how best to present their prized asset to make it irresistible to charter clients, while maintaining optimal operational running of the yacht. She works closely with the Burgess yacht management department and sales team to build long-term client relationships and deliver a cohesive and holistic service. She has an impressive record converting underperforming charter yachts into some of Burgess’ most successful listings.

‘Being highly organised and prepared for all eventualities is a skill I’ve honed throughout my career,’ she says. ‘Being open minded and adaptable is the key to customising our service and exceeding clients’ expectations.’
