Our oceans, our responsibility

From the Mediterranean to the Indian Ocean, from the Balearic Islands to the seagrass meadows of Amorgos, Burgess is committed to protecting marine ecosystems. GREECE

Saving Seagrass

Seagrass is one of the ocean’s unsung heroes – a natural carbon sink and a vital nursery for marine life. Burgess is supporting the AMORGORAMA project on the Greek island of Amorgos to restore and protect these meadows for generations to come.

Explore the project in more detail:

Mediterranean

Illegal and destructive fishing practices pose a major threat to marine biodiversity. In the Balearic Islands, we supported projects designed to protect fish stocks and ensure sustainable fishing for the future.

Indian Ocean

The Indian Ocean yellowfin tuna population is collapsing due to overfishing. Burgess supported urgent action to counter this decline and protect the livelihoods of local communities who depend on it.
