Mardi Gras

Held annually since 1978, the largest Pride event in Oceania attracted over 500,000 LGBTQI revellers in 2019. The festivities start with Fair Day in Sydney's Victoria Park and proceeds with various happenings including the Sydney Mardi Gras Parade and Party, Bondi Beach Drag Races, Harbour Party, Mardi Gras Film Festival Family Fun Day, Pool Party, Rainbow Flag Raising Ceremony, Comedy Shows and debate panels.

Colourful, musical and celebratory, there are flamboyant performances on stages and everywhere else you look. This is an event that acknowledges history, celebrates diversity and promotes inclusivity.
