Abeking & Rasmussen

Founded in 1907, Abeking & Rasmussen (A&R) has developed into a modern shipyard. Starting as a wooden boat builder, the family-owned company soon diversified into other segments of the maritime market, such as design and construction of navy vessels, special craft and yachts.

A&R is a pioneer of industrial processing with many production procedures developed in house, others with renowned research institutes. Permanent research and development concerning the application of advanced materials and the subsequent processing and construction led to special facilities that can cope with wood, aluminium, steel, stainless steel and non magnetisable stainless steel.

Since the 1990s, in collaboration with acclaimed designers and decorators, the yard has delivered a growing fleet of yachts above 50m, including landmark projects such as EXCELLENCE (80m), AVIVA (68m and 98 m versions), CLOUDBREAK (72.5 m), TITAN (78 m), and ROMEA (81.8m).

In late 2022, A&R unveiled LIVA°, measuring 118.2 m, now the largest yacht ever built in its 115+ year history.

Today, Abeking & Rasmussen is celebrated as one of the world’s elite bespoke superyacht builders, combining traditional craftsmanship, technological innovation, and exceptional personalisation.
