Craig has 26 years’ experience in yachting, both as crew and a highly successful MYBA-registered charter broker. He is the US Team Leader for charter retail in Burgess’ New York office, specialising in large motor and sailing yachts. As crew, he spent 12 years travelling aboard some of the world’s top charter yachts, clocking up 160,000 nautical miles and rising through the ranks to chief officer. These include 62m CAKEWALK, 57m EXCELLENCE III and 58m LADY SHERIDAN. He joined Burgess in 2011 and made partner in 2019. 

Prior to yachting, Craig specialised in corporate sales for a range of industries, including telecoms, mortgages and computer software. Alongside excellent client service and an established industry network, Craig brings extensive knowledge of prized cruising grounds to his role. Craig covers all key charter areas, including the East and West Mediterranean, the Caribbean and The Bahamas, with Americans accounting for a large proportion of his charter clients.

'Knowing the charter fleet inside out, understanding which yachts are top tier and having great relationships with captains, crew, agents, and local suppliers to enable the smooth running of a charter is invaluable knowledge that can only be learned over time,' he says. 'No two charters are the same, each one personalised to the client’s needs.'

Craig is an active team player with robust communication, negotiation and organisational skills. He averages around 82% repeat client bookings a year, with an average of 48% of bookings over 60m. These include 96m FAITH, 101m SYMPHONY, 112m AHPO and 95m O’PARI.
