Jean-Marc is Chairman, Asia at Burgess and oversees the Burgess offices and representatives in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Tokyo, Mumbai and Phuket. He has also been involved in several of the largest yacht transactions over the last 10 years, advising either buyers or sellers.

Before joining Burgess, Jean-Marc was a Senior Partner with McKinsey & Co, the leading business consulting firm. Based in Asia since 1993 (first in Hong Kong and later Singapore), he held several senior regional leadership roles and advised many leading Asian family businesses, entrepreneurs, PE investors and corporations on a wide range of business issues.

Son and grandson of yachtsmen, it’s only natural that Jean-Marc has been a boating fan since early childhood. He served his national service as a Navy officer, raced sailboats, and chartered yachts for more than 30 years all around the globe. Today, Jean-Marc owns a 33m (108ft) motor yacht which he extensively uses with family and friends in Southeast Asia.
