After graduating from North Carolina State University, Brian moved to Seattle and began his yachting career as a deckhand cruising the Pacific Northwest. Over the next 20 years, he worked his way up to captain and then chief engineer, gaining experience on both private and charter yachts and managing multiple large refit projects along the way.

Outside of work Brian enjoys cycling, kite boarding, rock climbing and snowboarding.
