The Antigua and Barbuda Sailing Association (ABSA) is the national governing body for sailing in Antigua and Barbuda, dedicated to developing and promoting the sport at every level. Affiliated with World Sailing, ABSA oversees competitive racing, sailing education, and community outreach, working to make sailing accessible to all – particularly young people across the islands.
Through training programmes, regattas, and partnerships with schools and local clubs, the association fosters both grassroots participation and elite performance, nurturing the next generation of sailors. Beyond sport, ABSA plays an important role in preserving Antigua and Barbuda’s rich maritime heritage, promoting ocean awareness, and strengthening the islands’ global reputation as a world-class sailing destination.
