Here’s a yacht for those who enjoy life in the fast lane. Impressively sleek and thrillingly quick, HAKUNA MATATA is a 37m (121ft) yacht that has performance to match her looks. Designed for groups of up to 12 guests, with a six-cabin layout that includes two master suites and a crew of six, she was extensively upgraded and updated just a few years ago. She is offered for charter in excellent fettle, with some excellent features.

The sun deck has expansive lounge and sunbathing areas, a large jacuzzi pool and a sit-up bar. The seats up front are a great place to be, with the wind in your hair, when she’s powering through the sea en route to an island on the horizon. You’ll be there in no time at all.

The main deck aft is another large outdoor social hub with a dining table, sunbeds and steps leading down to her extended bathing platform. There’s also a foredeck lounge with more seats and sunbeds, and a bimini for shade when required.

Her main deck lounge is airy, open and bright, with big windows along both sides. The décor in here, and throughout the yacht, is clean and contemporary with dark hardwood offsetting pale upholstery, pillars and carpets. Full-beam glass doors lead aft from the comfortable lounge to the main deck aft cockpit. Up forward, there’s an elegant dining area with 10 seats around the table.

All the way forward on the main deck level, the master suite has pride of place. It’s a full-beam cabin with forward facing windows, a study desk and a mosaic-tiled master bathroom. There’s a second master cabin on the lower deck, larger than the one on the main deck above, with a more spacious en suite bathroom and the added bonuses of a private lounge area and a large walk-in closet. Thus she’s an excellent choice for two families or couples sharing a charter.

The other four cabins, also on the lower deck, are a pair of identical doubles and a couple of twin-bed cabins, all nicely finished in a bright, contemporary style. Each of these also has its own en suite bathroom.

She is well equipped for a wide range of watersports. The main guest tender is a powerful 5.4m (17.7ft) RIB and her fleet of small craft includes four SeaBobs two E-foil boards, a jetski and two paddleboards.
