SCINTILLA MARIS for auction

In partnership with Boathouse Auctions, Burgess is delighted to announce that the 45.6m (149.6ft) Damen Maaskant explorer yacht SCINTILLA MARIS will be sold at auction to the highest bidder.

Appraised value USD 23M |  Listed for USD 16M | No reserve auction | Opening bids expected USD 5M+

Registration is now open on Boathouse Auctions' online platform, with live online bidding running for one day only, on 5 November 2026. For those that wish to view her in person, SCINTILLA MARIS will be available for inspections by appointment starting Monday 12 October at 17th Street Yacht Basin in Fort Lauderdale, before moving to her berth in Superyacht Village during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

Originally rebuilt over a four-year period and relaunched in 2023, SCINTILLA MARIS is a proven expedition platform designed for true global exploration. Most recently, she supported a biodiversity mapping project in Iceland, highlighting her capability as a genuine go-anywhere vessel. She is also a member of the Burgess charter fleet, and presents a great opportunity for a commercially minded buyer.

Currently listed for USD 16,000,000, opening bids are expected to start at USD 5,000,000 with no reserve, meaning she will be sold to the highest bidder. This is an extremely rare opportunity to purchase a capable explorer at a highly competitive price.
