She was designed by Nauta Design, who also designed the interior. Her full carbon hull, deck, and bulkheads, along with a high modulus carbon mast and boom, a lifting keel (4-6.2m) and titanium deck fittings, offer a displacement to just 74.2 tons, making her a formidable sailing machine.
She can accommodate up to 8 guests in 4 staterooms, with 5 crew members. KALANTIS offers a four-cabin layout: the owner’s cabin is forward, in the quietest part of the yacht, with three guest cabins amidship. This arrangement allows for a spacious, L-shaped social area forward of the saloon, including living and dining areas as well as a TV lounge.
Her top speed is 11.0 kn and her cruising speed is 9.0 kn and her power comes from a Cummins diesel engine.
