Leeward Islands The Leeward Islands, scattered over 150 miles from Anguilla to Dominica, are fascinatingly diverse. St Martin/Sint Maarten, part Dutch, part French, offers golden beaches, good nightlife, restaurants, casinos and shopping. Laid back Anguilla has the whitest beaches and translucent water. St Barth is the ‘it’ island with red-tiled roofs, French cuisine and high end boutiques. Antigua is famous for its 365 beaches and Nelson’s Dockyard in English Harbour, the prettiest and most historic harbour in all of the Caribbean.
