Description

KIJO is a 44m (144.4ft) semi-displacement yacht built by Heesen Yachts in 2003. She offers a maximum cruising speed of 26 knots and features a large, full-beam owner's suite. Her aluminium hull was designed by Diaship Design and her interior was designed by Terence Disdale. She has a gross tonnage of 417GT and was built to MCA classification.

The focal point of KIJO’s sun deck is the raised jacuzzi. Ahead of it, there is seating that converts to a large sunpad, and aft of the jacuzzi is a large U-shaped seating area that also converts to a sunpad when required. On the aft deck, there is a sun lounger area and exercise equipment. Steps to port lead to the upper aft deck. Here one finds full-beam aft deck seating and an al fresco formal dining area. Forwards, ahead of the wheelhouse, is a Portuguese bridge seating area. It has forward-facing bench seats and a table. In the cockpit, on the main deck, there is forward-facing bench seating and access to the main saloon.

KIJO can accommodate 12 guests in five cabins. By far, the largest of which is the main deck owner's suite. It is entered via a private office and then a dressing room. Inboard, is the large en suite bathroom with his and hers sinks, a bath, and a separate shower compartment. The suite has a centreline forward-facing king-sized berth with a dressing table to port and sofa seating ahead. On the lower deck, there are two double suites to the rear and two double cabins with a third single berth ahead. All guest accommodation has en suite facilities. Returning to the main deck saloon, there is a formal dining area forwards, a central lounge area – with sofa seating, and an aft wet bar area. In the sky lounge, on the upper deck, there is a large L-shaped sofa and games table. Forward on the upper deck are the wheelhouse and captain's cabin.

She has an aft tender garage with space for two RIB tenders and PWC. The fold-down transom creates a large swim platform.

KIJO is powered by two MTU 3,650 hp 16V4000 M90 engines these give her a cruising speed of 22 knots and a maximum speed of 26 knots. She has a cruising range of 3,200nm.
