Description

MAR is a 107m (351.1ft) motor yacht, one of the largest ever built in Italy. She is built by superyacht specialist Benetti to interior and exterior designs by the Viareggio-based yard's expert in-house team of craftsmen. Her steel hull and aluminium superstructure are constructed to Lloyd's Register +100A1 classification and with a beam of 15.2m (49.9ft) and a gross tonnage of 3,891GT, she has hugely impressive volume.

There are huge and feature-rich exterior spaces. A top deck, with sunpads and lounge areas, delivers amazing views and the sun deck has a large pool surrounded by sunpads forward, shaded dining midships and sunpads shaded by removable awnings aft.

The bridge deck has a Portuguese bridge and a huge expanse of foredeck for leisure and entertainment, which also serves as a helipad. Aft are several open air lounge areas, dining for 16 guests and also a cooking station with rotisserie, BBQ and Teppanyaki grill. The main deck aft has a large lounge area with plenty of versatile space and steps lead down to the swim platform with fold-down steps.

On the lower deck there is a full beam beach club area with two fold-down teak-decked terraces port and starboard. The space also includes a dedicated gym and spa with massage room and hammam. Midships on the lower deck shell doors conceal storage for 14m (45.9ft) and 9m (29.5ft) tenders and watertoys, and two 7m (23ft) rescue tenders stow under foredeck hatches.

Interior design is contemporary in style, with neutral earth tones lifted by bold artworks and a stainless steel artwork spirals down a three-deck stairwell atrium. Ribbons of glass keep the interiors well lit and there are great views from the sky lounge. The main saloon, also offering excellent views through huge picture windows, has a main lounge midships, a smaller lounge with a sit up bar aft and formal dining for 20 guests forward.

She accommodates up to 16 guests. The full beam owner's suite has an elevated position on the bridge deck and generous balconies either side. There are seven further guest suites on the main deck, all individually styled.

She features super-efficient hybrid propulsion with eight 834kW Caterpillar generators powering two Alconza 2,800kW electric engines. These give her a top speed of 18.5 knots, a cruising speed of 14.5 knots and a transatlantic range of 5,500nm at 12 knots. Bow and stern thrusters give her excellent manoeuvrability.
