ALAYA is a stunning and distinctive 33-metre (108ft) mid-20th century gentleman’s yacht from the elite Lurssen shipyard, beautifully upgraded in a comprehensive refit just a few years ago. She has a five-cabin layout and is designed to host up to 11 guests on board.

One of her special features is the hexagonal jacuzzi pool on her foredeck – rare to find one here on a genuine classic yacht. It’s perfect for a long, leisurely soak while spending the afternoon at anchor, or for a quick plunge to cool down after basking on the triple-width sunbed that’s just a few steps away. A short stroll aft along her wide teak decks there’s a snug lounge/dining area with plenty of shade. It’s an excellent place for guests to gather for breakfast and plan the day’s adventures.

There’s a nice, sociable open-air lounge on the sundeck where nothing interrupts your view and the warm sea breeze flows through your hair. The teak table raised and unfolds for a midday barbecue, with two large grills for the chef to work his magic – and it’s the perfect venue for an intimate sunset dinner. The seating area converts into a huge day bed when it’s time to recline and the new open-air cinema system deploys after dark for perfect movie nights under the stars.

Her inside living spaces are freshly refurbished with new upholstery, fabrics, mattresses and linen – but with great care taken to preserve her original features, elegance and charm. The result is a bright, clean and relaxing ambience with modern stabilisers and air conditioning throughout, and state-of-the-art entertainment systems, reliable wi-fi and video streaming on demand.

The main deck saloon is a large, comfortable living room and there’s a separate dining room up front which can be used as a playroom when guests have kids on board. The master suite is a spacious, full-beam cabin with a beautifully crafted en suite bathroom. The other cabins are three doubles and a twin with an extra pullman bunk.

She carries a superb inventory of watersports toys. There’s a Jetboard, an Fliteboard and a Liftfoil, a SeaBob and a jet ski, a climbing wall – and a whole lot more.
