FAR NIENTE’s has two excellent social areas, the main lounge and the upper deck. Both are perfect for families and those wanting to stay together as a group. The main lounge is a beautiful space to spend time out of the sun. White wooden panelling combines with grey-washed oak furniture to create a stylish contemporary feel while keeping a classic feel; splashes of teal mirror the colour of the waters in which she cruises. You’ll find the formal dining area and a comfortable lounge/TV area here. There’s a cosy TV lounge behind the wheelhouse on the upper deck, too; while the grown-ups worship the sun on the upper aft deck, the kids can be watching movies or playing out of the sun close by.
The accommodation on FAR NIENTE works well for large or small groups. With two double suites and two twin-berth suites on the lower deck, plenty of berth options exist, and all guest cabins have en suite facilities. Both the deck and the master suite are accessed from the guest lobby. The grey-washed oak and white styling of the lounge continue here. Picture windows on three sides offer panoramic views. Simply close the blinds to create a private and calming space to unwind.
There are plenty of ways to enjoy the waters that FAR NIENTE whisks you away to. She has an inflatable platform accessed via a boarding ladder. From here, you can dive into the anti-jelly fish pool or launch a veritable delight of watersports equipment. Choose from SeaBobs, eFoils, SUPS, a wakeboard and waterskis, as well as a selection of towable toys too.

From Aberdeen, head north to Craigievar Castle, said to be the inspiration behind the castle in Walt Disney’s Cinderella. Drive on through the Cairngorms National Park into some of the most dramatic Highland scenery, with steep climbs and sharp turns through the carved landscape of its misty mountain ranges.
North Coast 500 Driving Route

Under an hour’s hike takes you to Þríhnjúkagígur, the only dormant volcano anywhere that enables you to enter the magma chamber itself. Reach the opening and there’s a 120m cable car ride right down into the chamber. Fascinating.

This hydroelectric plant has a popular hiking trail with a challenging 4,444 wooden steps known as the Flørli stairs. Once above the treeline, you will enjoy wonderful views across Lysefjord and, in the west, Preikestolen.

Looking southeast from the southernmost of the three summits of Saksa, across the settlement of Urke and across Norangsfjorden to Øye. Saksa, known as The Scissors for its appearance from Øye, is a fabulous hike.
