Interiors are contemporary, with Ecuadorian touches (think headboards carved by Ecuadorian carpenters and soap dispensers hewn from local stone). Guests can enjoy two lounges, a library offering all the latest scientific books relating to your cruising ground and its inhabitants, and a spa with hammam.
The spacious exterior decks offer plenty of al fresco dining space, a large jacuzzi with sun loungers, forward observation seating on the panoramic deck, and comfortable seating on the upper deck aft which is the perfect spot for an aperitif.
Accommodation is for up to 20 guests across 12 cabins, each with private balconies and whirlpool baths. Of these, two are master suites which can interconnect to either a private lounge or an additional bedroom – ideal for families.
When it comes time to explore the wonders of the Galápagos archipelago, the expert naturalist guides on board will lead small-group explorations, offering insights into unique species and vibrant marine life during hikes and watersports. Snorkel among sea lions, kayak with penguins, and watch the famous Galapagos giant tortoises lumbering past blue-footed boobies and Darwin’s finches.
For interested guests, there is the opportunity to leave a lasting, positive environmental impact on the region through taking part in the reforestation programme in Santa Cruz to save the endangered Scalesia tree, overseen by HERMES’ owners.
