What does ‘full-service approach’ mean at Burgess, and how is that different from others in the industry?
In yachting, many companies still operate in silos or rely heavily on outsourced partners for key services like insurance or technical support. This often creates complexity and inefficiency for clients.
Burgess takes a different approach. Every service from sales, charter, and technical services with in-house naval architects to management, insurance and crewing, sits within one integrated ecosystem. That means clients benefit from a seamless, joined-up experience that few in the industry can match. It’s this full-service approach that sets Burgess apart.
Do clients actually use multiple services, or do most come for one thing?
It varies, as every owner is looking for something different, but many come to us for one service and then as the relationship grows, they discover other ways we can support and enhance their ownership experience. Clients often naturally turn to us when the next need arises – whether it’s charter, management, or selling.
How does Burgess ensure that all clients receive a fully integrated experience across all services?
The real benefit of having all services under one roof is the transparent, seamless and efficient communication between the owner's team (including the captain and crew) and the Burgess team, across all services dedicated to your yacht.

As the Mediterranean summer draws to a close, many yachts are now planning maintenance, winter cruising, or even looking ahead to summer 2026. This is the ideal moment to connect and explore how Burgess can support you.

How do we ensure clients don’t feel ‘handed off’ from one department to another?
Our priority is always to match each owner and yacht with the right team, combining both expertise and personalities. Every client has a dedicated Primary Relationship Manager who knows you and your yacht inside out, and they lead the Burgess team on your behalf. Clear communication is at the heart of smooth yacht operations, and we pride ourselves on maintaining strong coordination across all our services, as well as open, transparent communication with every owner, their captain, crew, and wider family or private office team.
CASE STUDY
In January 2024, Burgess was approached by the owner of the in-build Benetti B.NOW 50m ASANI, due for delivery just nine months later. Following an initial meeting, our team quickly defined a tailored scope of services and was appointed to provide Yacht Management, Insurance, and Crew Recruitment, ensuring the yacht would be correctly set up and operationally ready upon delivery.
Soon after, Charter Management services were added, enabling us to shape the yacht’s brand identity and successfully launch her onto the global charter market, supported by the expertise of the Burgess in-house Marketing team.
