Spotlight on TOSUN

TOSUN is brand new to the charter market and already proving a favourite with charterers. From the popular Bennetti Oasis 40m range, the clever design of this yacht optimises every inch of space to deliver an exceptional charter. Tom Everard, Charter Manager, tells us why the 40.8m (133.8ft) TOSUN is such a hit

‘Benetti's Oasis 40m are very popular charter yachts for good reason. They have all the looks, style and facilities, plus easy manoeuvrability - which is ideal in the Mediterranean. They are just a lot of fun,' says Tom. 

‘We have had TOSUN on our books for just three weeks and already she only has a few weeks left to book this summer season - between early-June to mid-August. Please jump on the phone if you want to reserve your dates!’

TOSUN offers a lot of space for her size, as Tom explains, ‘This yacht is made for entertaining; the main deck lounge opens up to the aft deck to give you joined-up space to host all your friends and family together. From there it's only a step down to the beach club, which is just huge. 

'She also gives the principle charterer a full-beam master suite, which is a nice touch.' 

The Benetti Oasis 40m yachts blend Italian chic and British understatement, and the result is a yacht design that is stylish and agile.

'The design makes all the difference,' agrees Tom, 'like the way that the infinity pool is at sea level, so when you’re in it you feel as though you are actually in the sea. The enormous windows in the lounge give you an amazing view from your sofa – this is indoor-outdoor living at its prime. 

'All these details add up to give you an affinity to the sea and your surroundings.'

True to form TOSUN offers the facilities that you’d expect on a Burgess seven-star charter. ‘TOSUN has plenty of watertoys and the beach club design that Benetti is famous for,’ says Tom. ‘It opens out on both sides to create a very wide platform – it is roomy and an ideal launch pad for watersports.

‘She also has a dedicated wellness room with a massage table, so you can have a professional massage on board - which you might like after spending all day playing in the water!

‘The sky lounge has a 86-inch TV screen, which is an exceptional size. You can stream your favourite movies and really get that indoor cinema experience. Maybe ask Chef to make some cinema snacks for you to complete the vibe.’

TOSUN launched in 2022, and recruited very experienced crew in every position. Chef Magdalena was last on a 55m Feadship charter yacht, and works alongside her partner, Captain Dominique. Captain Dominique also has years of experience as a charter captain. As they are partners, TOSUN benefits from having nine crew members, rather than the standard eight.

‘I have had nothing but positive feedback about the TOSUN crew,’ agrees Tom. ‘Starting with Dominique and Magdalena - people rave about Magdalena’s food!

‘The deck hands and second engineer are watersport enthusiasts, and they bring that knowledge to making charterer’s watersport experiences really fun. There are plenty of toys to keep everyone happy.'

TOSUN has taken the charter market by storm, and Burgess couldn't be prouder to represent this fantastic yacht. 'This is a really cool yacht,' says Tom. 'In my opinion, she is the ultimate 40m, she has everything. She's got the crew, the modern interiors, the open living space, wellness facilities, toys... charterers are going to love her.'
