Description
A 45-metre (147ft) full displacement yacht from the renowned German builder Abeking & Rasmussen, BRAVADO was delivered in 2004 and refitted in 2021. She is constructed in steel, to Lloyd’s classification, with aluminium superstructure. Her interior design and exterior styling are by Raymond Langton, with naval architecture by Abetting & Rasmussen’s in-house design office.
She has a large sundeck with an enclosed lounge amidships, a jacuzzi and sunpads aft and dedicated stowage for small craft forward. Her other exterior features include aft decks and covered companionways on the main and bridge levels, and a functional Portuguese bridge with a walkway leading to the foredeck.
Her total internal volume adds up to 499GT, arranged on three main levels. She is designed to host up to 12 guests in six cabins, with separate quarters for up to 12 crew. The interior was redesigned and extensively refurbished in 2015-2016, with a palette of pale grey and off white, and about 200 square metres of Burma teak flooring.
The master suite is up on the bridge deck with a super-king size bed, an impressive marble bathroom, a separate office with a desk overlooking the ocean and a large private gym with panoramic views.
Her main deck saloon is amidships and notably spacious, with large lateral windows. There is a separate formal dining room aft, plus a dedicated cinema room.
Powered by twin 16V 2000 M70 diesel engines with a combined 2,160hp, she cruises at 12kts with a top speed of around 14kts. At a long-distance passage speed of 10kts, she has a maximum range of 3,500 miles.
Her recent refit at Balk Shipyard in The Netherlands included a full repaint of hull and superstructure, W5/QL3 overhauls of main engines and generators, and servicing of AC systems, all fancoil units and her Quantum stabilisers.
