The 35m (114.8ft) wave piercing catamaran SPIRIT was built in composite to ABS standard by New Zealand Yachts, with exterior design and engineering by Brett Bakewell-White's Auckland studio and interior design by British designer Ken Freivokh. As a catamaran platform with 10.8m (35.4ft) beam, she is very stable underway and at anchor, easily driven so very fuel efficient and, at 304GT, has the volume of a yacht 10m (30ft) longer.

She was delivered in 2005 to award winning acclaim and extensively refitted in 2016-17. During the refit she was thoroughly overhauled mechanically, upgraded technically including AV/IT, her hulls were repainted and her interiors refurbished. She also received a foredeck jacuzzi, two new tenders and several upgrades to her sport fishing capability. MCA compliant, SPIRIT is a hugely popular charter yacht in Australia.

Her sun deck has a U shaped sit-up bar beneath the hardtop, a flybridge helm station forward, sunpads aft and versatile deck areas for gym equipment, BBQ or entertainment. A spiral staircase port aft leads down to the bridge deck aft, which is the private terrace for the owner's suite with bar and seating.

The owner’s suite has an office, sofa, dressing room and en suite shower room. Walkaround sidedecks make sightseeing and marine life spotting easier and also provide access to the six-person jacuzzi on the foredeck, surrounded by banquette seating with optional shade from awnings.

The main deck aft features a large decked space with open air dining. Aft is a huge hydraulic platform across the space between the two hulls that expands the entertaining space on the main deck aft. The platform lowers to 1m (3ft) below the water for ease of access to and from the water and also for recovering the tenders and toys.

Inside there is lounge seating and a games table port aft with a bar and dining table to starboard, with plenty of natural light and views through large picture windows. The main deck guest suites with two double cabins and two twin cabins, each with an additional berth, allow accommodation for 12 guests in five cabins.

She has a 5.5m (18ft) Brig Navigator RIB guest tender and a 3.5m (11.5ft) inflatable rescue tender. Two 2019 jetskis are stowed on and launched by the hydraulic platform.

Twin 1,400hp Caterpillar diesel engines, one in each hull, give her a top speed of 18 knots, a cruising speed of 10 knots and a maximum range of 1,800nm.
