For 12 weekends this winter, a private plateau at the top of Aspen Mountain turns into a curated coastal experience inspired by Miami’s South Beach, part of an ongoing art project from the mind of fine-art photographer Gray Malin. Launched in 2022, the mountain-top pop-up is back for an extended run based on high demand the previous year, gathering the best of sand and snow. The Burgess lifestyle will come alive as guests are immersed in select yachts from the charter fleet, on-board activities, island cocktails and more.

‘What I came up with was a setting that draws inspiration from decades past,’ says Malin, ‘celebrating the culture and tradition of ski season, aspirational luxury, and vintage glamor that Aspen has perfected, along with components of classic beach clubs that work together to create the ideal après-ski destination.

‘Curating an entire world of Gray Malin, I designed the cabanas, chaise-longues and chairs, and included special touches like a lifeguard tower and surfboards, as well as my Gray Malin pillows and trays adorned with my artwork, allowing a fully immersive experience where guests could literally step into one of my photographs.’
