The 47-metre sloop HYPERION is one of those iconic yachts that’s on many sailors’ bucket lists. She has a world class pedigree – designed by Germán Frers and built to exceptionally high standards by the Royal Huisman shipyard – and she has been kept at the top of her game ever since, with incremental improvements in performance, technology, comfort and luxury.

Quite capable of winning a superyacht regatta (her racing record speaks for itself) and a real joy for any keen sailor, HYPERION is equally ideal for a relaxed cruising holiday with your family or friends. Designed to host six guests in three spacious cabins, with lounges on three levels and attentive service from a crew of eight including her captain, you don’t need to be an expert sailor to appreciate just how special this yacht is.

In high-performance mode you are guaranteed a thrilling ride, especially when the conditions are right to fly her enormous white gennaker from the masthead and she slices through the sea at powerboat speed with a smooth, comfortable motion. On passage between one destination and the next, there’s no noise and vibration from a diesel engine and no exhaust fumes, just the gentle hiss of her bow parting the waves and the wind in her sails as you relax in one of the plush and spacious passenger cockpits – inside with an all-round view or outside with the breeze in your hair.

Later, when she’s anchored in a calm lagoon, there are almost literally acres of space on deck. A bathing platform folds out of her stern, the comfy sundeck beckons with its elevated view and a fleet of aquatic toys are deployed. She carries two tenders with powerful engines, plus waterskis, wakeboards and towable inflatables for high-octane fun. Kiteboarding and snorkelling gear are also in the inventory and you can try your luck at deep-sea fishing as you cruise along in style.

The mezzanine main lounge is a spectacular space, finished in timeless, true yachting style. There’s a large formal dining area, lounges on two levels and even a piano. You and your guests can gather to enjoy a movie together on the big plasma screen, or each find a space to relax that suits their mood. The master cabin is another special feature with a private lounge space, a separate office and a full marble bathroom.
