With yacht ownership comes responsibility for the vessel and crew. We integrate safety and security into all areas of operation, and give you access to our paperless Safety Management System through Burgess Manage.

The Safety Management service includes:

• Crew training in the operation of the system
• Detailed risk assessments
• Establishing standard operating procedures
• Providing a 24-hour emergency response service
• Establishing a health and safety protection policy
• Defining and documenting responsibilities
• Ensuring yacht personnel are adequately trained
• Establishing or verifying on board procedures
• Providing advice in preparation for emergencies
• Establishing a system for reporting accidents
• A maintenance system for yacht and equipment
• A periodic review of systems and procedures

As well as compliance with the International Ship & Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code), we take a formalised and systematic approach to the security management of your yacht.

The Security Management service includes:

• Acting as the ISPS company for the purposes of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code

• A survey to establish the current security baseline

• Production of a ship security assessment

• Development of a ship security plan for approval by the yacht's flag state administration

• Providing the services of a Company Security Office - CSO

• Providing 24/7/365 response to any security alert

• Arranging the yachts International Ship Security Certificate

• Managing and administering the necessary alerting and tracking systems

• Providing support and guidance for crew to keep the yacht secure

• Arranging periodic security drills and exercises

• Performing security audits as necessary and arranging for security plan revalidation as required
