- Review your vessel’s machinery and equipment to verify the preferred fuel specification based on operational needs
- Launch a competitive bid process to receive three offers from reputable bunker suppliers, selected based on recent feedback from the fleet and geographic location
- Review the terms and conditions of the fuel supply contracts
- Consult with a technical service provider to verify the fuel specification pre-supply, ensuring compliance with regulation 18.3 of MARPOL Annex VI
- Perform remote checks to ensure the vessel’s bunkering capacity aligns with the ordered quantities
- Provide a comprehensive bunkering checklist covering the entire process, from pre-hose connection to completion of bunkering
- Offer guidance on fuel sample collection and lab analysis if necessary
- Assist with unsatisfactory fuel sample analysis and support with contacting suppliers or relevant parties for resolution and
- Burgess can provide additional advice and assistance in arranging a suitable berth or fuel dock for bunkering operations
