Some sailing yachts convey a sense of perfect balance in the purposeful curves of their exterior lines and WHISPER 35m (116ft) is undoubtedly one of them. This high performance cutter-rigged cruising sloop, designed by Ted Hood and built to a world class standard at the high-end Holland Jachtbouw shipyard, is as swift and engaging under sail as she is comfortable to live aboard and graceful to look at.

Meticulously maintained ever since she was launched and extensively upgraded in a recent refit, WHISPER is arguably among the finest sailing yachts of this size and style that are available for charter in the Caribbean. Her finely crafted interior is a cocoon of traditional luxury and she is fitted with a VSAT satellite communications system to ensure good wireless Internet connectivity at all times – even in the middle of an ocean.

Her guest accommodation is designed to host groups of up to six people in three cabins. The full-beam master suite has a queen-size island bed plus a sofa, a large office desk, a private companionway leading up to the aft deck, and a steam shower in its en suite bathroom. The other two guest cabins are a double and a twin, both the same size, each with private en suite facilities.

Another interior highlight is the raised pilothouse on the main deck level, which has a sit-up bar with panoramic views, an L-shaped lounge and a direct connection with the main guest cockpit. The pilothouse is also open plan with the full-beam lower lounge, where there’s a sociable living room area on the port-hand side and an eight-seat dining area to starboard.

Up on deck, the main passenger cockpit is safe, snug and secure, with dining and coffee tables and plenty of comfortable seating for all guests to stretch out and relax while you’re on passage from one destination to the next. There’s a bimini overhead for shelter and shade, and the cockpit can be enclosed on both sides with screens to avoid any spray when going to windward and shut out the breeze.

Further aft, there’s full-beam seating behind the twin helm pedestals, which have a direct connection with the cockpit. The aft deck is the ideal place to sink into a sun lounger when the anchor goes down in a sheltered bay, and she has a huge expanse of teak foredeck and side decks.

She carries a 4m (15ft) tender with a powerful engine for waterskiing, wakeboarding and towing inflatable tubes. Snorkelling, fishing and exercise equipment are also available.
