Issy studied English at the University of Nottingham where she rowed competitively in the university team alongside studying for her degree. After graduating in 2021 she spent three years working on board motor yachts ranging from 90–115m as a deckhand before joining Burgess in September 2025. Her time as a deckhand gave her an insight into the fast-paced superyacht industry and deepened her love for watersports.

Outside of work, Issy’s hobbies include running, cooking, and reading.
