One of the greatest celebrations on earth, Chinese New Year is celebrated world over with colour, music and dance. This year and with the opening of Burgess’ Asia office in 2015, we are now proud to present some of the world’s greatest superyachts to charter in and around SE Asia over Chinese New Year.

Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia already offer some of the finest cruising grounds; think turquoise waters, true Robinson Crusoe islands some still unaltered by man, an interesting culture filled with gold-hued temples and delectable cuisine full of fragrant flavours and now, add into the mix exciting destinations such as Singapore, Bangkok, Phuket and Langkawi which are all fully accessible to superyachts.

Starting on February 8, and continuing for two weeks, all eyes will be on this region as celebrations kick off marking Chinese New Year. Starting in the glitzy country of Singapore expect various festivals including processions along the famed Orchard Street. The main event takes place on River Hongbao – an event held annually on the Floating Platform at the impressive Marina Bay. There will be live entertainment, local food stalls and an exciting atmosphere. In Thailand, head to Phuket to celebrate the Year of the Monkey. Revellers will hit the streets setting off firecrackers while you admire the colourful costumes of the traditional Dragon Procession. When it is all over, head back to the yacht and escape to your next private island. Throughout Malaysia, a whole programme of events will be taking place ranging from fireworks to street parties, your charter captain will know where to go and when, to make the most out of this period.

With many of the countries observing a three-day national holiday, there is no better time to take a vacation so speak to one of our knowledgeable charter brokers and secure your Chinese New Year superyacht charter today.

Still with availability, choose from a range of yachts chartering in the region.
