About CARINTHIA VII

CARINTHIA VII was commissioned as a family yacht by a highly experienced owner. She has a huge amount of yachting experience and operational redundancy designed into her six decks, enabling complete autonomy. The owner's team entrusted the project to the award-winning vision of British design studio Tim Heywood Design and the full steel build to legendary German shipyard Lurssen. The results are exquisite.

A yacht of unequalled elegance and immense pedigree, CARINTHIA VII is breath-taking in every way. Her glistening Carinthia blue hull and crisp white superstructure have graced the world’s oceans and anchorages since her delivery in 2002.

She was designed with fast passage making as a priority to expand the cruising possibilities allowable in any given period. Four 10,060hp MTU diesel engines give her top speeds in excess of 25 knots, a cruising speed of 22 knots and a transoceanic range of 5,000nm. At 3,643GT and with a beam of 18.8m (61.9ft) she has immense versatile deck areas and expansive interior spaces. She was refurbished in 2005 by Ellerhorst, Kreuter and other designers favoured by the owner.

As a much loved family yacht, CARINTHIA VII is designed to be lived in. She welcomes her guests in style and with great charm but without overwhelming them. Her main saloon’s restful earth toned interior is softly bathed in natural light through floor to ceiling windows. The eye is drawn onwards, outwards onto the aft deck and beyond. Despite being able to welcome up to 14 guests in her dining room, to starboard on the main deck, the room feels cosy, warming, playful and convivial. It is unmistakably a family room.

Step outside into the wide open deck spaces and surround yourself with nature. CARINTHIA VII epitomises the perfect chiaroscuro balance of sun and shade. The vast main deck aft lends itself to any number of uses, from entertaining on the grandest scale to intimate lounge spaces to relax with a book or share coffee in the mornings.

The cares of the day are gently eased away in the lower deck wellness spa. Work out on the gym equipment as you bask in ocean views and breathe in the healing ocean air. Walk among the teal tiles into the sauna or the steam room. Freshen up with a shower before stepping into the plunge pool.

Commissioned by an experienced owner who understands the importance of enabling crew performance, the yacht has been designed to be self-sufficient, easily maintained and operated.
